Trinidad
The city of La Santfsima Trinidad (the Most Holy Trinity) was founded on June 13,1686, by Padre Cipriano Barace as the second Jesuit mission in the southern Beni. Trinidad , or 'Trini' is the capital of Beni, but it's still a backwater country town and the open sewers are a serious turnoff. Trinidad is a stop for overland travelers between Santa Cruz and Rurrenabaque or a place to or ganize a river trip on the Mamore.
