Beautiful Delta islands with wide sandy beaches is located just minutes away from the city center. So many resorts are located here. Rosario's international airport lies around 10 km northwest of the city center. Around bus terminal and Plaza 25 de Mayo, hotels are located. Site of the first modest chapel built to venerate the Virgen del Rosario, the Plaza 25 de Mayo sites on the edge of the city before it slopes down to Avenida Belgrano and the river. To the south of the Placio lies the Cathedral de Rosario, a late nineteenth- century construction in which domes, towers, columns and pediments are mixed to particularly eclectic effect. Rosario is the city of monuments and museums, ranging from utterly unassuming to pompously patriotic.
