Puerto Montt
Puerto Montt (population 130,000), capital of the X Region, is a chaos of a town on the Seno de Reloncavi, and is the jumping-off point for Navimag journeys and trips to Chiloe and Aisen Of interest in town are the great crafts markets, at Angemo 3krn from downtown, and Pueblito de Melipulli, where prices and variety, especially of woolens, are better than towns to the south. Of some interest are Casa del Arte Diego Rivera, at Quillota 116, a joint MexicanChilean project with contemporary art, and Museo Juan Pablo 11, at Portales 991, with exhibits on regional history.
