Horse-drawn carts still clatter along cobbled streets flanked by 19th-century buildings. while dark-suited old gentlemen ,it in the shady parks discussing the day's events. Most people are in bed by 10 pm. It's a fairly quiet town, and some travelers prefer to stay here when visiting Otavalo.
