Economy of ArgentinaArgentina is the richest country among all Latin American nations. Per capita GDP is (2008 estimate): $8,220. The economic conditions in Argentina have improved vastly since the downfall of the Generals; Argentina is not a high inflation country any longer; indeed its currency, the Argentine peso, pegged to the American dollar, is one of the stablest currencies in South America.
