Cucuta is a hot uninspiring city of around half a million people. It's the capital of Norte de Santander and a busy commercial center, fueled by its proximity to Venezuela, just 12 km away. The city doesn't have significant tourist attractions, so unless you're enroute to or from venezuelas, there's little reason to visit.
